Calvin Rodgers

Born into a musical family in Chicago, Calvin Rodgers discovered his love for drums early, mentored by his father and sharpening his craft with local gospel artists like Ricky Dillard. He later studied through Ramsey Lewis’ Jazz Mentors program, joined Urban Knights, and toured with R. Kelly before returning to gospel as music director, co-writer, and co-producer for Fred Hammond. When not touring, Rodgers balances life as a family man, minister, teacher, and mentor, with recording and touring credits that include Aretha Franklin, Kirk Franklin, The Isley Brothers, Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Chaka Khan, Yolanda Adams, John P. Kee, and many others.
