Cobus started playing the drums in a small town in South Africa and started uploading videos of his drumming to YouTube more than 12 years ago. I know I’m supposed to type this in the third person to seem all professional and legit, but screw it: I started uploading videos long before it was cool (kinda still waiting for it to become cool) and it’s lead to more than 800,000 subscribers, various endorsement deals, 230 million views, a sold-out arena tour with one of my favourite bands, and being able to play drums professionally. Honestly, it’s been a pretty insane journey and I’m ridiculously thankful.
