Greg Clark Jr.
Greg Clark Jr. is an American drummer, clinician, and recording artist known for his versatility across R&B, jazz, pop, gospel, and fusion. Born and raised in Washington, D.C., he began playing drums at a very young age—around 3–4 years old—developing his skills in church and the local music scene.
Over time, Clark built a reputation as a highly adaptable and musical drummer, capable of performing across multiple genres and live settings. He has toured and recorded with a wide range of major artists including Stanley Clarke, Will Smith, Snarky Puppy, The Manhattan Transfer, Ciara, JLo, Coco Jones, Rickey Minor, LA Philharmonic Orchestra, Ledisi, Eric Benét, Tamar Braxton, LeAnn Rimes, Alice Smith, SWV and many more.
He has also performed on major platforms, including national television appearances and guest spots—such as sitting in with the 8G Band on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Known for his strong pocket, musicality, and ability to quickly adapt (even playing right-handed setups as a naturally left-handed drummer), Clark is also active as a clinician and educator, sharing insights on groove, touch, and professional musicianship.
In addition to touring and session work, he records independently and contributes to various projects, continuing to build a career that blends high-level musicianship with broad stylistic reach.
